Privacy Policy

Heartbeat Haven LLC, doing business as Heartbeat Haven LV (“we,” “us”), runs heartbeathavenlv.com and provides CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS certification classes in Las Vegas, Nevada. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

When you book a class:

  • Full name (required by AHA/AAP for card issuance)
  • Email address (for confirmation, reminders, and eCard delivery)
  • Phone number (for scheduling changes and emergencies)
  • Payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers)
  • Course history (which classes you’ve taken, your card expiration dates)

When you submit a contact or group quote form:

  • Name, email, phone, and the information you choose to share

Automatically when you visit the site:

  • Standard server access logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed), used only for site stability and security
  • We do not run third-party advertising trackers, Facebook Pixel, or Google Analytics behavioral tracking

How we use your information

  • To register you for the class you booked
  • To issue your AHA or AAP eCard
  • To send reminders, reschedule notifications, and post-class follow-up
  • To respond to your questions and quote requests
  • To maintain records required by AHA/AAP Training Centers
  • To process payments through Stripe

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketers. We do not use it to target advertising.

Required disclosures to AHA / AAP

When we issue your eCard, your name and class details are transmitted to the American Heart Association (or American Academy of Pediatrics for NRP). This is required for card issuance. You cannot get a card without it. AHA and AAP have their own privacy policies for this data.

How we protect your information

  • Payment processing handled entirely by Stripe (PCI DSS compliant); we never see or store full card numbers
  • The site is hosted on Vercel with HTTPS enforced
  • Booking and customer data is stored in Cal.com (encrypted at rest and in transit)
  • Email handled through Cloudflare Email Routing
  • We use multi-factor authentication on all administrative accounts

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Show you what information we have on file about you
  • Correct anything that’s wrong
  • Delete your information (note: we have to keep AHA-required records on issued cards for the credentialing period)

Cookies

We use minimal first-party cookies for site function (remembering form input, session state). We do not run advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or social media cookies.

Children

Our classes are open to all ages (CPR doesn’t have a minimum age requirement). For students under 18, a parent or guardian must register them and provide consent. We don’t knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 outside of a parent-supervised registration.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new “last updated” date. Material changes (anything that broadens how we use your data) will be emailed to active customers.
