Renewing a healthcare card? Have your current card or expiration date ready. We may need to verify.
Taking ACLS or PALS classroom? Bring the current AHA Provider Manual (sold separately). The AHA precourse self-assessment and videos are free on the AHA site.
Taking BLS? Bring the current AHA BLS Provider Manual (sold separately).
Taking NRP? Complete the AAP NRP online course first (Essentials or Advanced, sold separately, paid to AAP) and bring your certificate.
Arranged a HeartCode skills session? Finish the AHA online module before your date. It includes the manual.

Questions, answered

Is this a real AHA certification card?

Yes. You receive an official American Heart Association eCard, the same nationally recognized credential the AHA issues everywhere. Employers verify it directly on the AHA's site using the code on your card.

Will my employer or hospital accept it?

Yes. Our BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP courses follow AHA guidelines and issue AHA eCards, which hospitals, clinics, EMS agencies, dental offices, and nursing programs accept. If your employer has a specific requirement, contact us first and we'll confirm the right course.

Do I really get my eCard the same day?

In most cases, yes. Once you pass the in-person skills check, we issue your AHA eCard the same day, so you can start a job or meet a clinical deadline without waiting. Initial-provider courses with a written exam may vary slightly, and we'll tell you upfront.

What happens if I don't pass?

Our instructors coach you through the skills until you've got them, and most students pass on the day. If you need more practice, we offer a free retest rather than charging you for another full class.

Where are classes held and how long do they take?

All classes are in person at a partner training facility in Las Vegas, on real manikins. Exact address sent when you book. Time on-site: BLS 4 hours, ACLS 4 hours, PALS 5 hours, NRP about 2 hours. Exact times show on each class when you book.

What's the difference between an initial cert and a renewal?

There's no separate renewal class. Everyone takes the same course and leaves with the same 2-year card. Book the same class whether it's your first card or a renewal.
